Andros Island Bahama Trip

In April, I got to take a Geology class wearing board shorts and flip-flops for the first period and snorkel gear and flippers for the second. We made a trip first to Ft. Lauderdale and Key Largo, Florida, and from there we flew to Andros Island of the Bahamas. It was a class on carbonate systems. We learned about the shallow sea environments where the limestones around us are "born". Tracy was nice enough to let me go with a pact that I'd take her back some day.

Darcy Rolls Over

This video is mostly for family far away...it's long but pretty cute so even if you're not family...she's still fun to watch.

I'm not in school right now so when Darcy is asleep I have a lot of time on my hands. These clips are from her first month. In the first clip she was a few hours old and didn't even have a name yet. She's so adorable!

Happy 4th of July!!

I made this feeling very patriotic and grateful for our free country. Hopefully we can all feel patriotic more often, not just in July. Hope ya'll like it.

4th of July

We went to the parade in the morning and it was packed! It was worth it though. I love being able to applaud for the military and veterans that fought for our freedom. What is really neat is that we were able to sit with one. My Grandpa Bill.
