Whenever Darcy sees herself on the computer or in pictures or in the mirror, she gets so excited. And recently she loves to put stuff in her mouth and just leave it there, like washcloths or her sock. I look like I only have half eyebrows. Scary.

Here are some recent pictures of Darcy. I can't believe she is already six months old! She just started sitting up on her own and crawl all in the same week almost so she is much more active and mobile. We can't take our eyes off her because one minute she will be playing with a toy and then the next she is across the room with someone's shoe. It is amazing to watch her grow and learn everyday.

The Sweetest Sound

She has been so giggly lately and we love it. Drew kept on turning so she would have to turn her head to see me and you could tell she was just waiting for me to say "Boo". She is so darn cute I can't even stand it!

She's So Cute!

She's not laughing too much here but she is happy like this most of the time. We couldn't ask for a better baby.

Deep Thoughts...

Do you ever feel like you have to do everything and there is no time to do anything? I feel like that a lot now being in school. I want to do all my homework ahead of time so that I can play with Darcy and do some extra things like sewing or filming things that aren't for a project but I think the house has to be clean before I do anything. I watched a film tonight in my documentary editing class about four marines who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan and their struggles and issues they have with living a normal life after being in combat. I just realized that I have it pretty good and if I don't get my scrapbooking up to date then it's not the end of the world. This is more like a journal entry than a blog post but here it is. I think we can all show more appreciation to those who served in any war because they deserve it and they were and are fighting for us to have a better, safer life, even if there were a lot of mistakes made in the process. So next time you meet a veteran, tell them thanks for their service, I'm sure it will be appreciated.
If anyone is interested in the film it is called Reserved To Fight.
Check out the website for local listings. It is a great story that needs to be told.
